Re: paid breaks
Should be 40 minutes unless a local agreement is in place, which I doubt.

Re: paid breaks
Apparently it's just 30mins for a 8 hr night shift agency staff been told to take two 15mins and no more even if told to come in 2 hrs early or finish 2 hrs late
Recently on a notice board one colleague wrote to the shift manager asking why Coventry hub where he had worked were getting two 20mins and one 30mins . Reply was given in a typed letter by the shift manager saying basically that the hub was different to the processing and this occasion he would give just once a goodwill of a break at 19.45 to 20.00. Funny that cos most start at 20.00.

Re: paid breaks
Interesting workers suddenly now told to take a 10min break at exactly 21.50 to 22.00 everyday however it takes couple of minutes to get to the canteen via turnstiles ,ie one at at time, and couple of minutes to return from the canteen leaving around 5minutes which you might not get awaiting for the coffee machine to be vacant !
