We still operate the rotate system and are about to add one more.
We feel it makes us posties more multi-skilled.It buggers up their balance of staff
because distribution and deliverys have two budgets but those are their boundaries NOT OURS!!

Hello.I am from North West London,(Harrow & District Branch).Myself and Snatch are sidekicks,(Reps) in
the HA area of London. Can,t give you the exact location as "srews" can easily log in on this site.
We do care for our industry and fight with members and managers alike every single day.
We,ve had more DOM,s than we care to mention at our office, but as long as we inform members
they are able to make informed decisions, however managers mis-construe that as being awkward!
Ask,Ask,Ask! Thats our motto!!
Lots of gate meetings too,newsletters,emails.
In 1992 the accountants at Royal Mail at that time said that they would like the collections
drivers on a sepeperate budget,"for paper purposes"
What happened is they grabbed week A,s drivers and seperated them from the rest of the
office. Now that pretty much worked in the rest of the country and because of that those drivers
are now based in Mail Centre,s from no choice of their own.
However if they read their contract pre-1990,it actually says what office they will be based at.
Anything after 1993 will be a contract on a whole area.Get your boys rotating. It sends the managers up the wall!!
