I work in an RDC and all our drivers are talking about being balloted for strike action over 48-hour weeks and the crap offer thats been rejected this week. Some say they'll look for jobs outside of Royal Mail, some say they'll quit driving and come back indoors. What do others on here reckon will happen ??

RDC = regional distribution centre. We and the other RDC's were called Royal Mail Streamline many years ago.
Our drivers will be part of the ballot on the other thread, but I work indoors so if it's only the drivers that get balloted, the indoor staff could be in a tricky position, legally speaking, if it comes to a strike !

Hi.I am part of network & distribution,(box and firm collections,).Our office has rotates in that
we do indoor work/runarounds one week/walks than a collection the next week.
Our network hub is part of our delivery office. Its called cross functionalisation.
If the late drivers go out so do the postman and vice versa. We as an office will support
the ballot as it effects our drivers.
I think rotates is a thought for most offices now as its hard to take a duty out without
it effecting another
