P739's

Post by POSTMAN »

Seems one of the biggest complaints apart from Doorstepping is the dreaded leaving the 739's without knocking malarkey.
I've never done it,i ain't got the front, surely you're looking for trouble doing that s**t.
Some Posties ain't even got the packets on them when caught out!!

Lampwick - I completey agree with you as I also do cover in the callers office. Mind you some of the callers are their own worst enemy. I've had people arrive with the 739 and its for a totally different office. Or they have turned up 1hr after the Postie put it through their door , it then takes 10 minutes to explain that the postman does not run into town as soon as he cant deliver their package, and then go back on his round. They also cant seem to understand that if we don't have it in the callers office we cant rearrange deilvery until we do.

I too work the enquire desk and this is the biggest problem I have where they are not filled out properly and so on.....

I had a customer the other day saying he never rang my door bell....here we go again  and then asked can he not read or blind

Right I'm thinking and I was quick thinking I said yes your right he cannot read, well he can only read numbers not letters and as your packet never had the flat number on it he didn't know what bell to press

Well the whole que started laughing at this point so he left with a smile on his face :Very Happy :funneh
