Dogs. Evil barking threatening Dogs!

Post by Docketman »

Theres a road on my round that divides 'nice' to 'undesirable' area and the latter seems to have a different class of dog. It's the same when I do cover on rough streets. Grabbing mail from behind the door out of your hands. Chasing you out the garden. Danger dogs make the news and quite right too, but The Sun didn't go up in arms when I was attacked and needed stitches in my leg. (and I was put on a stage 1 for my trouble- The b***ards!)

I now refuse to go near that particular house, and they collect their own mail from the sorting office. If a dog's in the garden I just take it back to office and write 'Dog loose- date' and try again next day. Apparently this is acceptable behaviour as RM have a responsibility to us.
In one of our training videos I was shown way back, a postman had a device he pointed at the dog and scared it off. Some kind of high pitched 'f*** you' to the offending beast. Why don't we have them now? Even the trainer showing us the tape said they aren't in use anymore. "Put your bag between you and the dog" the advice goes, yeah that'll stop them in their tracks won't it?

We never get questioned when we put 'dog loose' or basically anything when we don't deliver the odd letter.
We pouch ours off,the phg gets them in the morning and just puts them back out.

Dogs round here are terrible there's the odd 1 or 2 that are a mare, but it seems every other house has one.
The dog s**t on pavements is disgusting, especially on one estate i do.
f***ing animals..................the owners that is.

Laughed out loud reading that post. All RM managers must be created in the same lab programmed with dumbass answers like that.
