Lucky you if you're out by 8-45!!
That's when ours come in,then by the time we tie up and the Manager has gone round with his missort/redi -letter detector,
and then round again,as they're s**t scared to leave any letters around the place.
It's 9-30 - 9-45 before we sometimes get on our round.
A lot of us don't tie up before it comes as we've been hit with pre-sorted bundles and the like, and it just ain't worth the hassle.
It's a bastard waiting around sometimes, especially on a light day, they've also stopped us going out early to nick a bit because of it.
They're hot big time on the missorts down this way.

And what's this with the PINK pouches  ours are Yellow,is that a Kent thing

Also welcome, and how the hell did you find us? :Confused

9.30 is an average time for the all clear in my office now..

Complete waste of time IMO the missort runs for what you get and lets face it, most of the missorts are down to the mail centre staff sending items to the wrong offices in the first place

"Missorts are here"...............luv it ..........not.
The thing that makes me laugh is the missorts in the missorts  plenty of shabbing going down me thinks.
It's here to stay no doubt, and with nights going and we're later getting out,it wont matter soon.

On days when theres too much to sort its not so much of a problem, but TUESDAYS when you've tied up at 6.30/7 and you're on the umpeenth fag/coffee of the day it can be a bitch. Our manager lets us get out early with one bag (although it's one on the bike, one on your back) and come back for the missorts. This is a handy way of getting done at a reasonable time. They soon moan when you're putting in overtime because it's after 12.30/1300 (ft or pt). Not being allowed to leave until 8 is just a waste of time. Especially the 2 hour sorting time is too much on a Tues and somedays not enough. You should get the perk of a flyer when you can.
And why don't we have to wait on Saturday? Not that I'm complaining at being able to leave the office at half 6, but as theres no delivery on Sunday doesn't this contradict the whole silly rule?

We're not allowed to go out early and come back  only a couple or so done it anyway.
Seems in the smoke there was a lot of shabbing going on so they put a stop to it.
