Where was all the work?

Post by POSTMAN »

Came in today expecting the worse, and nothing, not even a normal day,was soooo light.
Not complaining, guess it's the calm before the storm
Here's hoping tomorrow's a normalish Tuesday :pray

Lemon squeezy again today :Confused
There's no work about, although our Mail Center decided to just pre sort half the office, with the rest bought in unsorted,
so we was on the sorting bout 1/2 hour more.
But when done was just like a baddish Tuesday.
I guess everyone shot their bolt early as the last couple of Months were heavier than usual, and there's nothing else to send out.
Xmas cards are starting to come now.
But all in all an easy week so far.

I think this is the oldest necromancy of a thread on RMC

As a forum admin you should be looking to stop this rather than laugh at it. Why you cannot auto-lock threads (with a plugin) after it's gone dead I don't know. I've posted that this should be implemented before.

I only did it because the top thread at the time was the exact same question. Only 17 years apart! All tongue in cheek. :whistle

As a forum Amin I get to decide what gets stopped and what doesn't and if I get it wrong Postman who owns the site will overrule me.

However as in this case, we prefer not to lock the threads but have a laugh over them, hence my post and the follow-up from the Op. We only lock topics that go very off-topic or when posters start getting personal, I locked one a few days ago.

Thank you for your suggestion, Auto-lock is against the ethos of RMC, but necro threads are part of the fun on here as long as it does not go overboard.

A bit like Idi Amin then?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
