Casuals?

Post by musicbowler »

Royal Mail are telling the public how they have improved the service, in my office we've now run out of cluster reserves and therefore are taking on casuals. The last two casuals I've had to show round, could hardly speak / read a word of English! Phone been red hot with complaints! Misdeliveries, mail still left in pouch box from previous day and mail being delivered damaged.
Agency staff cost £15 per hour and yet they won't give us a decent pay rise or recognise the work we do!!

Moved to Blue Shirts.

Sounds like my office. :Very Happy

This goes with the overtime malarkey the amount they pay these casuals is double what we would get.

Also the cluster reserves are being wound down, there's fewer of them every month.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Anyone else remember when we were exposed on telly, for our use of casuals and the amount of mail that went missing, Royal Mail saying shortly after that we no longer used casual staff as they were unreliable and unchecked.

Lasted about as long as most of their promises.
