Heard all this about 3 staff members covering 4 walks , so a small office of 25 staff now , would need 20 in the future , so more vrs on offer than originally stated by the cwu .
I hope these figures are correct a year's vr pay would do me nicely as I'm off in June 2027 anyway .
Think they will be plenty wanting and accepting VR .
Wake up. VRs are a pipe dream. How many new starts and legacy have been leaving your office lately? Just stick it out or apply for a non delivery duty.

In this era of RM what the hell is a non delivery duty?
It's a shame it's not as easy as it used to be to transfer over to see out your final years in RM. (Although I can't imagine there will be redundancies there)

You can blame the CWU for that. There hasn't been any option to apply for these duties for over 10 years now because DO's close to MC's have always been kept understaffed.
Well as far as my office is concerned there'll be more chance of bumping into Elvis working behind the bar in wetherspoons than getting it, the last four new starters we got last year f****d off well before Christmas, sorry "peak" even started, since then more have left so no chance whatsoever.
Most of our bosses are lazy ex posties, they wouldn't be seen dead on delivery now. They used to push all of their second delivery letters back into the closest pillar box to the DO, one by one back in the day though
