Stamps rise again

One thing that's concrete and evident is that when it comes to the price of a stamp the business doesn't hold back or use the bullshit of "the takeover" and "in talks"
I think if I'm right this is the third rise of a stamp in the past year.. they are cute enough to platform this stunt just in time for the new tax year. But when it comes to the poor postie he's left trying to wonder how he's going to get through the next year on the world's worst wage. We don't need these rejects replying ohh you knew before you came in on a new contract what you where getting weighing in.. we need incentive,a reason to stay a vision going foward,looking after the people who ACTUALLY get rid of the parcels and daily mail.. but with royal mail unfortunately incentive is a non runner.. I work sunday after Sunday as well.. customers would say to me.. I bet your getting well paid for today.. all you can do is fake joke to them.. they wouldn't believe you anyway if you told them your get nothing extra.. I ve never seen a company under value there employees as low as royal mail do..!!

Why BS the customers? I tell them as it is if asked about things, they are usually shocked but I am happy to educate

Yet they treat us like crap and seem to want a business model where stressed, underpaid, knackered workers are just flinging parcels at doors, hedges and gates and running off.

Something's got to give.

Agreed. Although I have had a look around and it seems a lot of jobs are offering low ball wages these days.

Pure branding like the name. A customer last week asked me how the company is allowed to retain the name 'Royal Mail' given the issues of ownership and QoS. They've updated the crown in the cruciform, which subtly implies some kind of royal endorsement. If it was a royal warrant it would have to be issued on account of excellent service - clearly out of the question this side of the pandemic.

It’s frustrating to see stamp prices rise while the folks who actually deliver the mail barely get by.
