Re: 31st March 2025
It won't sort anything.
It will be "in principal" agreements until the new owners are in place.
To quote Mr Walsh:
It is very simple. The IDS Board won’t be in charge to honour any pay deal.
The new owners EP cannot sanction a pay deal until they’re the new owners which will now not take place till their late May.
We will be negotiating in principle pay and all the other issues which are contained within the EP agreement.
However the laws governed by the Takeover panel are quite clear that until the takeover is completed then it is only agreed in principle.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: 31st March 2025
I honestly can't say I like a single decision RM or the CWU have made for the last 15 years. But hey, what they do makes sense if you are a late stage capitalist I suppose.chickenwittle wrote: ↑14 Mar 2025, 13:33Which makes complete sense , whether we like it or not.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑14 Mar 2025, 09:17It won't sort anything.

I think you will find a lot of things make sense if you don't start drinking before midday.

Re: 31st March 2025
The CWU is the only union in the world that could tell it's members that it can't agree anything because the people they are dealing with won't be the decision makers long after the decisions should have been made. There is no date for the matters to be resolved.comeracing wrote: ↑14 Mar 2025, 08:57So on this date there is supposed to be 2 weeks of intense talks between the Union & RM , to sort the pay rise , sick terms ,vr terms and new entrants t & Cs.

Re: 31st March 2025
Can’t make a decision yet let’s go thru the motions anyway, wasting the subs of members and more importantly spending time skiving off proper work and leaving colleagues in already under staffed units to pick up the slack…….prawn sandwich anyone?

Re: 31st March 2025
the union through us under a bus when agreeing the last 2yr pay deal of a massive 2% in the 2nd
they never ever conclude any pay deals until late autumn so why think any different, most other companies/unions have the new pay deal ready to start in april, but this is the cwu
