Sick Pay
Can someone clear this up for me. Regarding sick pay, as I’m just about to go off for an operation. Is it just 4 days full pay I’ll lose or will I be on statuary sick for the whole 2 months I’m off because I really can’t afford that :/

If it’s your first absence in a 12 month period, you will be fully paid , if it’s your 2nd absence in a 12 month period you will not be paid for the first 2 days of sickness, that’s my understanding of the agreement.

It all depends on your situation. The CWU agreed a reference period for the payment of sick pay that moves over a four year period. If you've received sick pay in the last four years that will be deducted. Then you have the CWU agreement where sick pay is not paid depending on which part of the procedure you are in.
