Out long term sick.
Manager as suggested a "settlement figure " NOT IHR .
Never heard of it tbh , probably less than IHR no doubt.
Anyone any information?
Does it go on length of service ?

This offer came from management.
Don't shoot the messager .
I think it is a cheap way of getting rid of staff but I have never heard of it b4 , hence why I am asking the question

Re: Settlement offer ?
Google came up with this...
What is a settlement agreement?
A settlement agreement is a legally binding contract used by employers to set out terms and conditions to end an employment relationship. Settlement agreements are often used to avoid the full redundancy process, and usually involve an employee receiving a payment.

Think it would be something like 12k for a full timer, I'd be aiming for 20k if they really want rid of you lol

Re: Settlement offer ?
Hi just to say myself and a few others went through process of a settlement figure for vr a couple of years ago and would advise you to keep an eye on your email spam box as some of the paperwork when there and it had a time limit on it so it's easy to miss something

Re: Settlement offer ?
Recently a part timer at my place, who was a real problem for management settled at 7/8k, so would expect maybe 25% more for a full timer.

Re: Settlement offer ?
Does service make any difference these days, the 7/8k you mention was the figure mentioned when RM done a preference exercise recently, everyone was offered the same regardless of servicepostmanpatscat2 wrote: ↑03 Mar 2025, 17:46Recently a part timer at my place, who was a real problem for management settled at 7/8k, so would expect maybe 25% more for a full timer.

Read what I said lol.
I am not.on about length of service
I am talking about the fact he was a part timer, in pay offs, weather ill health or redundancies, full timers get more than a part timer.
