Simple and easy drop offs and delivery, think just uses a QR code. Only £1.99 cheapest delivery.

I send and receive a fair few parcels personally and never use Royal mail, always have poor tracking, poor delivery and just general appealing service with royal mail. Sad to say when I work for Royal Mail.

Inpost looks like blowing Royal Mail out of the water.

Hopefully they can take a large % of royal mails parcels and make life a little easier for us posties. You might think crazy for me to think this, but I'm looking for another job/career so anything that can make job a bit easier while I am here hell yeah.

I have zero confidence in Royal Mail, it's owners, the future owners, the cwu and especially Dave Ward. Royal mail is DEAD.

How does it work? I’ve seen their lockers here and there. Do you go and pick up from one of these? Can you send via them?

I can only speak about sending not receiving but it is really easy. Go into nearest newsagent that allows inpost, enter Qr code from your phone you've recieved by email into scanner and hand over to shopkeeper! Think QR code is already purchased by buyer in item you've sold, really easy.

Had an ebayer use royal mail in an item I sold last week was like f.... The tracking was none existent on tracked 48 and took like 5 days to arrive.

I'd like to know why we've been advertising InPost on tracked labels for at least a year. Now they're stepping up as a major competitor. Who on the executive board has a hand in them??

To be fair I sold some stuff to Music Magpie a few weeks ago and sent it by Royal Mail and the process was pretty identical to what you describe above. The guy Scanned a QR code on my phone I had received in an email which generated a prepaid label that he stuck on the box. Was probably only in the shop for 60 seconds and all done. Also received regular tracking email updates and the parcel arrived and payment made within 3 days.

Haven't we been delivering their parcels for a while now? Not done it myself but we also collect their parcels from shops which then go in our network.

Amazon did the same for their returns but it seems we just collect from the customer these days

Poor tracking? Works fine when ever I use it. Poor delivery and service, maybe that's just your office? And you think if parcels get lighter your jobs going to get easier? Or maybe they'll condense your office, make walks bigger and you'll be working harder?

Only problem is that Menzies Distribution are doing the collecting but it appears we have the pleasure of the "last mile" delivery
