Off sick, pay docked

I was off sick for a couple of days last week and ive just looked online at my payslip and im getting over £100 less than usual. Is this correct? My last sick absence was last August, again for 2 days.

So is that the first 2 days of any absence, or is it because ive been off sick within the last 6 months?

All part of the groundbreaking deal that the CWU had with RM as we don't receive full pay for all absences anymore. A 2nd absence in a 12 month rolling period means that you only receive statutory sick pay for the first 2 days of the 2nd absence, the first 4 days of a 3rd absence and the first 3 days of a 4th and any subsequent absence. SSP is set at a minimum weekly rate of £116.75 but is usually worked out daily and the amount you get depends on the number of days you normally work each week and how many of those days you are off sick.

The agreement does state that if the company wide absence rate falls below 5.5% then the previous sick pay regime will be re-instated but ironically this hasn't happened yet ever since the new sick policy was introduced.

For this Union to fall for the 5.5%(re- instated) deal is beyond stupidity,can’t believe how bad RM are running rings round them

Unless it's a injury sustained at work and recorded on Erica. Then full pay should apply.
