HR email address clarification

Post by richardkhill »

I need to provide contact details for RM HR, so new employer can request a reference.

A search has come back with two vary similar email addresses:

thirdpartyenquiries@royalmail.com

or

third.party.enquiries@royalmail.com

Is anyone able to clarify which one is valid?

Thanks

Could anyone clarify exactly (with proof with obviously details blurred out) what exactly royal mail include on a reference thry give other employers who request them? My employer is going to send them a form they will want filling in, do they do this?

The forums seem to have all different opinions on what is included.

Thanks in advance!

I have no proof but can assure you it is a simple Joe bloggs worked from X date to XX date etc. Very simple details.

They probably won't fill out your new employers form, they will just send the standardised reference email or letter

Again no proof and sorry also not a helpful reply but the cynical in me agrees, knowing what this company is like they'll probably do as LB suggests, bin/ignore the questionnaire and send the standard guff.

If that's the case then I hope it doesn't jeopardize your new job.

Thank you London and Ted. I have spoken to HR and they said all they confirm is dates worked and job role, and they are sending me a copy of that. I asked is that the same as they send new employer and they said 'Yes'. However, if i actually get in the job i will ask for a copy of the reference to clear this all up, because i know this is a bit of a confusion.

Thanks guys
