Hi quick question if anyone could help it would be appreciated.
I have just been given a AR2.
Firstly my return to work was not completed under 4 days back in the office, is this grounds to appeal?
2nd during my rtw i wasn't informed that I had hit AR2 this was done in a letter given to me 2 days after my rtw, is this grounds to appeal.?
My absences were as follows.
April 2024 - 3 days
October 2024 - 2days
December 2024 - 7bdays.
If after April 2025 if I have had no absences will I drop down to a AR1 again? .
Thanks any help would be appreciated

Well firstly you must have been on a AR Stage 1 warning already before you can trigger an AR 2 Stage warning. So when was this issued and nope you have to go a year not breaching the AR rules to clear a Stage Warning so you need to have no more than 2 absences that aren't for more than 12 days in that time. Oh and remember it's a rolling year from any absence. Not sure about the timing and procedure I'm guessing there is no Union rep at your office or else I'd talk to them about procedure or you could try contacting Union area HQ for advice.

You could try appealing on the basis of delayed rtw, but I doubt it'll get overturned.
The other bit, being informed of AR by letter afterwards, is standard procedure so no go there.
Afraid you now have to go 12 months to clear your AR2. And remember, it's 12 months *from the date of AR notifaction* - i.e. the date on your AR2 letter.

If you have less than that, but are off twice OR for a total of 5-11 days, you will go to AR1.
If you are off once, for 4 days or less, you will come off the procedure
