Have been told at our place to ignore the 1pm deadline and just deliver when we get there, have been doing it ever since, no comeback

I wish I had been told the same, bloody joke, especially in Christmas pressure trying to get to drops before 13:00! I did read on here a while ago that if you fail to deliver before 13:00, BUT it gets delivered that same day, then the customer can't claim compo, so it can be done but my DOM/COM has never let us do it.

Have ignored it since Covid. Other people lose their minds over the 1pm deadline but if it saves you 20 minutes driving so be it.

Defo get your money back, last one I sent a few weeks ago was delivered at 2pm, filled out an online form and they sent a cheque in the post.

Have a look at the postcodes here that it's not guaranteed by 9am there's loads guaranteed by 9.30 or 10am wonder if they tell you that when you send it in the post office

It's the same as the obsolete signatures for non SD. You get to the door anticipating to post it through the letterbox and lo! and behold it's got a signature requirement. They're not in and it goes back and forth for three attempts. I would say 5-10% actually sign the screen with their signature. DWS can open up a can of worms too! It's about time we just rely on gps and photos instead of signatures. It's a complete waste of time.

We need an early next day, urgent before 12 product (test results, etc...). Special Delivery next day guaranteed. Everything else tracked no signature. All this recorded signed for is bollocks.

Fair enough, whoever said it was in the wrong then, either way I never had failed them anyway, although there was a time many years ago when I was about 15 mins late with a 1 'o' clocker, but I asked customer and she was okay for me to put fake time down (e-pod card).

Recorded signed for is bollocks. I get tracked with a signature if it’s a new phone or something. Even half the SDs probably don’t need a signature they just want it guaranteed next day.

Why are you all moaning about this ? Deliver them before 1pm like you should and if that means you deliver less letters, so be it , that’s not your concern.

We always do them before 1pm. Having said that, office is 5 mins away and end of walk is 10 opposite direction so never really taking that much time compared, what I imagine would be some walks in other areas of the country.

That being said, I personally feel they should be adhered to. Go back to front if it's near end of walk.

100% correct. The customers are paying good money, they should get the service they have paid for.
