Is vr just 9 months pay now ,if you've been with RM 1 year or 20 years it makes no difference, can anyone clarify the current vr conditions please, secondly anyone been lucky enough to get vr and leave royal mail at approx the same time 55 years or olderand get your pension Lump sum and monthly pension if so bloody huge congratulations

I'm going to go against the grain and say that I think VRs will be offered next year to try and get rid of more people on the old contracts. I'm not sure what other offices are like but ours is recruiting like crazy and I can see us having more staff than duties after Christmas when the craziness is over.

It's nine months maximum not nine months for everyone and is based on seniority.

Used to be 104 weeks maximum VR, knowing how it used to be I'm not walking for 36 weeks, guess I'll hang on and be awkward till I retire or they get so fed up with me that they'll double their money offer

I'm guessing they'll do a VR special deal when the USO changes come in.
They'll offer the 9 months(£16,000) + a bonus like the last time.
Which took it to about £21,000.
