All d2ds need to be in by Tuesday and take where your going
In our office. Management has said all d2ds need to be in by Tuesday and take where your going. So they all must be gone by Saturday.
Another question to the duty holders who do the same walk every day. What if there are doors right next to each other. Do you even take that d2d even there is no Mail/Packet for that door ?

At our place some write the door number on them and take them when they get mail. Some take them and effectively cold call with the d2d. Some just deliver 2 to the same house or to the next house with no d2d for the day. Double slots are s**t.

Ours is Monday. Prioritised more than any letters, f**k the 20 % a day.

They must be having a crack-down on D2Ds?
Our DO are back to make sure you've got your daily 20% in and if any are leftover, spread them around your walk
That doesn't stop the twats from ripping the labels off and dumping them on other fittings though

Yes, if they are trying to force the ones they suspect aren’t doing them to actually do them, instructions to put them all in are a way to do it.A2B wrote: ↑24 Sep 2024, 22:28One of the best reasons to get everyone to put them in on a MondayTooManyLoops wrote: ↑24 Sep 2024, 22:02

’You can't just ask customers what they want and then try to give that to them. By the time you get it built, they'll want something new.’

And what about the lates that don't arrive until mid week?
But I agree our office is full of months of unposted D2Ds. Then when have had duties totally left uncovered day in day out. It's not all been the fault of duty holders.

This was meant to happen at ours too but the recent revision has meant lots of deliveries only getting one side of the paring done per day along with the tracked ( not even that some days ) that management have said anything else about it.
Would be a a decent idea but I’ve got a part timer that comes in at 9:15 and I’ve also got about 1700 calls between the 2 , I’d still be prepping d2d’s when they came in.

Our revision is based off putting them all in on the Monday, let's see if they put the time in for them.

All in on Monday, or if I have time, when I return on the Saturday. Then usually by Thursday I will start numbering the remaining D2Ds and taking them over the next few days, even if I have no mail. I have a lot of new estates on my duty that receives no mail during the week so it is the only way to clear them.

I do but literally only if the 'next door' is max one/two steps sideways away with no fence etc between and that particular D2D is easy to put through without any mail to help it through. You need to know the walk though!Custard Jelly wrote: ↑24 Sep 2024, 19:41

They are fools. Some one was sacked in our office for doing that. Just pure lazinessTooManyLoops wrote: ↑24 Sep 2024, 22:02They must be having a crack-down on D2Ds?

A long time ago now but one of ours was sacked for dumping d2ds at the council tip, he might have got away with it if the thick twat hadn't left the labels onscoobydo79 wrote: ↑25 Sep 2024, 09:34They are fools. Got to laugh at this company, can barely get any letters delivered but let’s focus on d2ds.

Re: All d2ds need to be in by Tuesday and take where your going
That's how we do it; all in Monday/Tuesday. If there's a double slot: if there's mail for the first address, I take both. If there's mail for the second address I just take that one. That way any single d2d's in frames you know it's the first address. I suspect most just either pull both out and sling them through the first door, or pull one out and just randomly leave a single one in the frame without knowing what address I goes to though.
