My payslips are on the app up until last week. Weekly paid staff's payslips are usually up Tuesday afternoon/evening.

To be thoroughly pedantic: so long as the company is too cheap to print them, never.

A virtual payslip is not a payslip in the same way we don't airdrop photos of meals on famine-struck countries.
The machine stops.

Personally I don’t miss the paper payslips. My wife’s company has digital payslips too.
If some one wants a copy just print off a copy - it is 2024 by the way

All letters and flats have dropped off massively over the last few years

Err…letters are dropping and will continue to particularly with the regular price hikes.
Anyway apparently Dave Ward has got loads of ideas but I’m still yet to hear one

Sure. But as massive as thay may be, there's still multiple billions. We're a long way down from the heights of 2005/6, but then the decline started from a height of 20 billion annually. A worst case 80% drop since 2022 would still yield 1.46 billion - BILLION with Carl Sagan emphasis. If things were that bad you'd probably notice 50,000 redundancies.
