Has anyone covered by the Equality Act who have to take related sick leave had their first 3 days pay stopped? if so did you dispute it?

I did and got the money back. Your line manager has to contact HR for you. They’ll email him a form asking for the reason you were absent

I work in a mail centre and we have a sick absence manager who got my money repaid. Ask your office manager about getting a repayment or if you have the people app on your phone there is a sick pay tile on it and you can ask HR yourself.

My mates COM didn’t put in the exemption form because he had the hump about him going sick, he put in a grievance over it and it’s been investigated but he was told by the investigator that he should provide medical evidence like a doctors letter or from his cardiologist.

He never said "Line Manager", he said "line manager". The former is a title (now obsolete), the latter is a common term of reference
The machine stops.
