I would expect them to at some point. It should be linked to payroll so you get paid for exactly what you work. What will probably happen is any extra minutes will get chopped off and if you're late too often you'll get a disciplinary.

They are more concerned about scanning in an out than what time you actually do it..no doubt that will change in the future.

We've been threatened with docked pay for weeks, nothing has happened yet.

They want to know the actual times people are clocking in and out of the depot.
In mail centres SISO is not so important.
In delivery depots we are being told any parcels taken out on OT must be
scanned on the route scanner like a DPR driver. They are saying we will
only be paid what the PDA says. This means we will only be paid for how
long the technology says it will take.
It has multiple implications. It discriminates against older people who may
not be able to get out of the van and deliver as fast.
It impacts on people who can work faster but want an incentive in order
to achieve it.
Increasingly in our depot they treat new starters as a priority for OT due to
their lower pay rate. This results in people on 26/28/30 hours old contracts
suffering as a result.
Crackdown on SISO is already impacting Morale in my office and people are now
choosing to work slower on their duties or maybe normal
instead of rushing around. Colleagues would say I will go 20 minutes
over to complete a duty for an hours OT are now refusing due to managers questioning
work ethic and refusing to pay anything extra.
I am only youngish but when we think of the world of double pay/triple pay/ weekend
bonuses/ extra pay why should we accept the bar has been lowered?
People need to stand their ground. Managers have just been paid a 3,750 bonus for us
to come in earlier. That money could have been used as bridging for new entrants to
be on the same pay.
Do not let them exploit you!

Remember though that the x1.25 only kicks in after 40 hours have been worked in a given week. Before that it's just plain time. You can bet they'll be trying to push new starters below the threshold to do more right up to the 40 hours before the requests stop. Then next week the OT requests will probably start up again.

If managers weren’t so desperate to get duties / parcels out, therefore paying over the odds to do so, the problem would not exist.
You can’t blame people who make time when it’s encouraged by stupid strategies , dreamt up by clueless senior management then implemented by equally incompetent local management that restricted recruitment which leads to staff shortages and therefore you reap what you sow.

Our DOM was comparing the work rate of pairs. So he was using the data to work out which was spending most of their time sitting in the van. PDAs are the enemy we are carrying.

SISO data is just one part of how they are coming for us.

That's been happening for years. Your average manager has a huge amount of data available to them.
As for SISO, it's hardly flawless.
