Annual Leave whilst off sick

Could someone confirm something for me? If I'm off sick and I have annual leave booked whilst off sick, can this be claimed back when I return to work?
I've had a look through the new attendance agreement document but can't find anything that in there.

You can't be off sick and on annual leave so as long as you state that you still wish to be considered as off sick, then your annual leave won't be taken off your entitlement.
You have to tell them.

Thanks for replying. My annual leave should have been this week but have been off sick three weeks prior. Gp note doesn't finish until beginning of July. I'll let them know I still want to be considered as off sick.
