Anyone with a sewing machine would be able to replace the zip.

Dry cleaner/tailor/alterations.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Zip went on mine & I got it fixed by a local seamstress. Wasn’t much, less than a tenner I think…
“Shorts,in this weather?!”

“If they’re bills I don’t want ‘em!”

“What’s she been ordering now?”

I got one of these. Super lightweight. Wear it instead of my big storm coat. More waterproof, & doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a wet duvet.

The cagoules all end the same way. They took that cheap flimsy zipper and designed a whole new uniform around that ethos. The cruciforms peeling off all the polo shirts is the materialisation of a metaphor.
The machine stops.

They want all staff wearing their own clothes, using their own vehicles and phones instead of PDAs. All cost cutting exercises from the asset strippers.

And why do the new polo shirts have the cruciforms, only to reveal, once they have peeled, exactly the same logo underneath?

Dribs and drabs coming through at our place, but it is literally taking 6 months in certain circumstances. Seems the new starts are prioritised, understandably, but the wait for stuff for longer serving staff is ridiculous. I don't wear the new stuff generally as it's tat anyway, but I go through shorts quickly and desperately need a new pair.
