Denial of receiving package.

Package delivered, signature received from wife , same surname as recipient, photo of door very slightly opened , shud have got more of door open .
Complaint put in of denial, expensive item apparently.
Any thoughts ?

Why do these instances even get put through as complaints, RM should immediately dismiss them, no further action required as the item has been delivered, see included evidence as confirmation.

That’s what I always wonder too! We at the coalface should never know about this nonsense because we have to go out and face customers after being informed of this rubbish. We don’t need to know.

RM definitely need to take a more robust stance against this type of fraudster. Simply stating that the police will be involved would be a start and asking them to provide any evidence of theft by their postie - because most of the time I don’t think they realise that that is the accusation they are making about a postie they are going to see every day.

I've wondered before if people get greedy and complacent that they'll get away with it after claiming they haven't received items from such as Amazon/evri that have been doorstepped, shame really as they'll get flagged as serial lying bastards and worse could get someone into trouble.

I had a delivery for number 256 and I new the name was living at 267 across the road they where not in ,went to neighbours to be on the safe side and they confirmed they lived at 267.If I had say put it in safe place at 256 they may have denied it was there and I'm sure 267 would have complained they did not receive it.Its happened a few times on my walk with wrong numbers on packets and I'm sure I don't notice all the misprinted items .,but if we miss a scan on a tracked item occasionally the manger would be all over us. Joke company

stay cool mate,we all on your side, ask manager if he will go round with you and see if they will show him order details and tracking info for the "expensive" item, they will probably crumble. some scum bags out there. a while back a manager asked me to knock on a door and see if i could check out a misdelivered item, maybe me or another postie (we all done it !) it was nearly a month after delivery, woman came to the door with two dogs and after much hullabaloo,"found" it under the stairs unopened. right number, wrong road. point is i saw her often and she never mentioned it, probably waiting till the "heat" was off and keep it for christmas !

It’s like the tracked items that turn up with the street number missing. To my mind, given how eager people are now to deny receipt or complain, we should not be scrabbling around trying to find a number. The item should be returned to sender. Their issue.
