Definitely, but it would depend on the individual as to how they can handle having their colleagues (butt kissers) and managers in their face for the entire length of their shift...many cannot handle that challenge.

Additionally, imho, if your in the bottom 30% of seniority at a mc your duty will be more back breaking than delivery

I'd jump at doing the 7.5 tonner runs to do's, assuming that's what the job entails loading/unloading and driving, the MC is an hour or so drive away for me though so that would put me off as we'd have to buy another car as I cycle/walk to work now.

Don’t thing there is any vacancies at Mail centres, depending on where you live, there might be vacancies at the Midlands hub at South Central on the northern hub at Warrington, but like others have said indoor work is the first to go.

We have about 4 of them that have transfered in over the last few years, one is as you say basically clapped out and hobbles about everywhere, basically was written off from day 1. Came in from one of the DO’s in our catchment area.

Why do you think they are clapped out? Given how long they have clearly been employed by the company as a postie doesn't that suggest something?

When I worked in MC many did move to delivery offices nearer to where they lived when they were given the opportunity.
