Parcel at National Returns Centre

Post by JoeWagg »

Hello all. My son recently ordered a jacket from eBay. Anyway he’s moved back in with his mam who has recently moved house. He put the wrong door number as his address by mistake and the old bloke a few doors along signed for it and took it in. The next day the old man has realised it’s not for him :Very Happy and taken it to the local DO who have sent it back to the National Returns Centre in Belfast. Anyone know how he can get his hands on it?

Sounds like no return address was on the parcel, as it would have gone back to sender.

Your tracking number will help. But it is the sender that has to track the package, as the item inside belongs to him /her until it is delivered.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. So is there no way my son can actually get it redelivered to him in Durham? He’d put a 15 as his door number instead of a 19 which is obviously his own mistake but surely someone at RM must be able to help?

Belfast do all they can to reunite items.
But it the person who sent the item that needs to trace it.
It should be doable... Your son may have to pay postage again. Seems fair.

If there was surely it would have been returned rather than sent to the undeliverable item depot, only hope is that the sender put something inside, otherwise unfortunately the buyer is out of luck.

If it was a signed-for wouldn't there be a return address or email linked to the number?

You would be amazed what actually gets sent to the nrc return address or not.
