Done 19 hard years. Finally time to say goodbye. Been waiting for this moment to arrive for awhile now. But finally I get to say it. . I know I've not posted here. No job, going traveling for a year or more. Life events changed (divorce), so time to move on and look for a new start in the future. I have ideas, I have some money behind me. Always wanted to travel. So now is the prefect time for a fresh start. And staying in the job now would juat bring me more down, never getting the energy to start something new. Scary yes. But now I feel the whole world is in front of me again. Rather than just the 10-12 miles of my delivery . Wish you all the best for the future.
We have three lads aged 39/41/42 all with 15/20 years service, good lads, all gave their notice in beginning of the week, did loads of overtime between them, seem a lot of the middle aged posties are looking for other employment, how's your office?
I retired 3 years ago after 20 years in, best move ever, I now work in a supermarket 20 hours a week best job I have ever had, no pressure managers are great no grief off them at all, ok I dont need to work but I enjoy it, I loved RM years ago but what ruined it was going private its no wonder they are leaving in there droves.
