Re: Union subscription
It's an email address.
membership@cwu.org
Just say you're looking to leave then they'll give you a few questions to answer. Employee number, which office etc.

Re: Union subscription
The alternative would be what? To be at the complete whim of RM management. Holy s**t what a s**t show this company and our contracts would be. Considering they have just had pretty much all of the suspended reps reinstated I would hardly call them useless either. If it weren't from trade unionism and the often thankless task of being a rep we would all be stuffed. Leave the union by all means but have some respect on your way out.

Believe it or not, it has absolutely nothing to do with you what they do with their money/their reasons for wanting to cancel. Their partner might have lost their job and they're trying to save money for all you know.Ren Hoëk wrote: ↑18 Dec 2023, 19:59The alternative would be what? They asked a simple question, and got a simple answer. It's none of your business at the end of the day. Get a life.

Nah mate, The addition of "Bunch of useless _____" negates any sympathy I have for what ever reason they may have. What need for that was there? They werent just asking for info they were offering an opinion. Which I think allows a response. You may also note the bit where I said "Leave the union by all means". I think its short sited but off they go... Lets hope they don't need representation in future or when the next round of attacks come they expect a union to defend them.Beanyjazz wrote: ↑18 Dec 2023, 20:50Believe it or not, it has absolutely nothing to do with you what they do with their money/their reasons for wanting to cancel. Have the union been defending us , or defending themselves ?Ren Hoëk wrote: ↑18 Dec 2023, 21:23Nah mate, The addition of "Bunch of useless _____" negates any sympathy I have for what ever reason they may have. Re: Union subscription
How so? How did they save themselves to the detriment of members? Do you believe that we could have achieved a better result without the CWU and collective bargaining? Given the scale of the attack on our T&Cs what do you think your contract would look like without them negotiating on our behalf?Valentina@1 wrote: ↑19 Dec 2023, 08:33Saved themselves & screwed rest of usworktotime wrote: ↑19 Dec 2023, 06:48if you have the app you can do it on there , i did, ward and co are a joke and they waffle the same shite but do nothing

I believe without the union we would have faced a worse situation in the first instance. P&O style slash and burn. But im sure you could have done better on your own...
I think its worth remembering it was RM that initiated the attack and came up with the changes. NOT the CWU.
