Revisions paused till 2024

Post by scoobydo79 »

As per title apparently

We have agreed with Royal Mail that all planned delivery revisions will be paused until 2024. This will enable the focus to be rightly put on improving resourcing and quality of service. We will update you further on this and a range of other issues early next week.

They are not revisions, call it what it is. It is the removal of duties and jobs, nothing more.

I wonder how many of the walks that would have been updated have already had the update data sent off to the office that writes the sort plans for the machines. If it has been sent off then you'll find that the mech might not then tie up with the frames

yeh our section mech has been coming for weeks with all the extra on the back of it which is still on the other frames , but was told this week we will be adding the extra onto your frames this saturday when you go out :evil/mad , so it will be interesting if the office rep puts a stop to it regarding this agreement . im guessing he wont :thumbdown

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Feel like this union is now just saying s**t to make it look like they are actually doing something when in reality, the horse is already out and has done several laps around the lanes. It's damn near insulting to present themselves as saints on their media platforms when in reality they've done little to nothing to combat said changes. You can look at all the comments the last few months on their posts with members telling about the unagreed revisions and they never addressed it until now when majority of the offices have had them.

The removal of 12 duties is happening in our office tomorrow our rep who is on leave challenged this from his home on saturday the reply from above was our revision should of been implemented two months ago the revision which the cwu and royal are stopping until after xmas is phase two which is a further seven duties removed bringing a total of nineteen out of fifty four mine and my partners duties are having large parcels removed anything bigger than a size twelve shoe square box is classed as two big after bursting out laughing also challenging anybody in our office to be able to be able to complete them his answer was im just removing duties to cover the afternoon staff that they have just employed to follow us around in the afternoon to deliver the large parcels if he delays it any longer he is going to be removed royal mail are on the brink of bankruptcy it should get a bit easier after xmas as the large parcels will not be coming in to our office until we are on delivery which would enable us to get on our walks earlier.

Why suggest RM is in the brink of bankruptcy when it's clearly not?

The DPR routes in our office lasted all of 8 weeks then they were all lasped. They don’t the resources to do afternoon parcels.
