future Deputy General Secretary (Postal) election
Martin Walsh Cwu
Just now
Following the news of Terry Pullinger's retirement and the
rightful recognition of that, I have been asked several times
now whether I am considering putting myself forward in
any future Deputy General Secretary (Postal) election.
The honest answer is yes.
I believe I have the experience, leadership skills and
courage needed to undertake that role.
Ahead of whenever the election is held, I will be setting out
my vision for the future of the union.
As a former delivery postal worker, I know what members
want and need at this point. I have decades of negotiating
experience across deliveries, processing , distribution
collections, network and international.
I'Il be announcing more on my manifesto, campaign and
how you can get involved in the coming weeks.
I want to help build a union based on the power of our
members as a collective not me as an individual.
Martin Walsh.

Gonna find it very hard to vote for anyone who was part of agreeing this terrible business and transformation recovery agreement, sold the guys who were and still are suspended down the river by agreeing to the very shoddy Falconer review, stitched up the majority of the frontline staff by agreeing the seasonal variations and attendance review changes, and worse of all sent the whole CWU back decades by agreeing to a 2 tier workforce and left behind all new employees before they even started…
All these negotiators should be handing in their resignations not positioning themselves for promotions….

If I was still in the union I wouldn’t vote at all until the 3 stooges have been sacked
