Early hours OT doesn't equate to improved delivery at the finish of shift. Rarely do people get out quicker and deliver more. It's inefficient OT.

In theory early hour OT should equate to earlier out but as duties have increased in size and silly amount of tracked for duties it hasnt helped at all. I wonder if cutting a dozen staff coming in early and having 60 staff come in early on seasonal hours will alter that?

Not unless they make the sorting area big enough for 60 people.
We could treble the amount of IPS sorters, so 12 to 36, be a squeeze mind, double up on packet sorters, tracked splitting and large packet sorters, so in our office, yes. Who'd of thought RM might have got something right, well at our DO anyway

Playing devil's advocate here, if RM have engaged the agency member for a certain day(s) then they'll give them the work
whereas RM staff (such as yourself) volunteer for the work when you are able. From the screws point of view what happens if you
decide you don't want to and they've binned/sent the agency bod off somewhere else?
