Mon to Fri

Post by HappyGuy »

:hmmmm ok we have been told that mon to fri is definitely coming in around October/ November. Everyone accept this its going to be good for some bad for others.
The long term implications are quite massive. I'm just your average postperson and can see the long term effects of this.
This raises the question if i can see it why is our CWU not on top of it.

Won't be all round as anything that's not a letter, flat or D2D will still need delivering on Saturdays (wouldn't surprise me if RM bring in mandatory rotas for Sunday working, even if in theory they aren't allowed to)

It could happen but not anytime soon. Royal Mail cannot Make that decision.
I suppose you could be confused as your username is HappyGuy, but you're Gender is Female and you say you're a Postperson (What the hell is a Postperson?) If you type Postperson it comes with a red line under it, so it doesn't exist. You're a Postwoman.

They're doing it already. At my local D/O the new starters work 11.00 to 19.00 and are expected to work a Sunday.

Where have you been? Last few years only delivery jobs advertised are for Postperson.

If that's true, the world has finally gone mad and the minority groups have control.

The "minority groups" have always had control: The super rich. Calling it "postperson" isn't part of some agenda.... Well it is, but the agenda is "make the job appeal to anyone willing to accept low wages, migrating hours and no security regardless of gender"

It is my understanding that any permanent change to the USO would require an Act of Parliament, which the government has already refused at least twice, the last time in June of this year. Again in my opinion, there is no way that this could happen in just over a month.

You have an election in all probability next year.
The Gov will already be aware that 1000s of votes were not counted in a Brighton Election.
Rm are failing the Country as a whole, the mismanagement is staggering, costs for these new SuperHubs spiralled.
Having refused this request twice in recent times can you see the Gov now allowing it?
I no longer have a real clue, the madness of both the CWU & RM has reached new levels of incompetence!
