Self-employed parcel runs starting April 2024?

Post by jimmynailsalive »

I seen a post on RMG financial discussion board today of someone saying they signed for their first two self-employed runs starting April 2024. He's then adding another two runs November 2024 and two more April 2025.

I'm guessing RMG already well underway splitting parcels from letters then?

I have just watched a self employed owner driver working for Parcelforce deliver a parcel across the road from me , he just dumped it in the porch took a photo and walked off and this is on a busy main road and parcel left in full view of passers by .

He was driving a dirty old white van and was the scruffiest driver I have ever seen , I have seen better dressed homeless people on the streets .

Royal mail/Parcelforce just do not care they just want the cheapest option to deliver available .

Maybe it said on his PDA to leave it in the porch? Don't just presume someones dumping something when you don't know the full story.

Most Parcelforce items roughly 98% cannot be left , they are open doorway only and I know for a fact owner drivers are not adhering to this and are just dumping them while the employed drivers get in trouble if they leave anything .

Not in the 11 years I worked for Parcelforce was it an issue to leave parcels.
