My Bundle Dental cover, the policy looks like you can sign up when you've been told a big bill is coming?

Anyone use the Dental Plan?

Without signing up to it, I can only access the policy and FAQ, but it looks like if you've been told in a check up that big work is needed you can still apply for the cover. MoneySavingExpert mentions some dental plans work like that, but most don't.

Has anyone used the My Bundle Dental Plan? Are they reasonably good to work with? Were you allowed to make a big claim shortly after signing up?

Exclusions
We will not cover cosmetic treatment, mouth cancer which existed prior to joining the plan, any treatment not listed in the schedule, prescription fees, treatment carried out before your cover starts and after your cover ends.

We will not pay any claim made for:
• Any procedure which is purely cosmetic and not necessary to maintain or restore your dental health
• Orthodontics for insured adults (you and your partner)
• Treatment directly or indirectly resulting from mouth cancer conditions which existed before cover under the

• Treatment carried out before your cover starts and after your cover ends
• Benefits for overnight hospital stays in the Republic of Ireland (ROI)

I had it tried too claim and then cancelled but couldnt cancel till end of the financial year so be careful ... Only paid it for bouts 8 weeks tho so was lucky ....Might of changed but check into it 1st before you go for it

I lost my NHS dentist so after a bit of a gap I had a check up at a private dentist then took out the appropriate, for my needs , cover Yes I have to pay my £3.35 until the end of the financial year but I've got considerably more money back than I will pay in . They also reimburse you very quickly once you send them your receipts.

The "annual" costs aren't right.

If you sign up today it'll start on 1st Feb, and end at the end of March (or maybe start of April), so the "annual" cost is only really about 7 weeks.

To work out the real annual cost, do 52*weekly cost, depending on the tier level, it'll cost my family between £300-£1200 per year.

I still haven't signed up, but I'm strongly considering it.

Adding to my last reply, you might want to check out the MyBundle Healthcare Cashplan.

I've been with it a few years, but it covered £60 dental & £60 optical + £150 physio + 2 prescriptions + loads of other stuff. When I first signed up it was about £100/year, so I was quids in just from dentist checkups and contact lenses, and really saved money when I had a bad back.

Where are you getting 23 a year from? I'm on Radiant 3 (which I think is the middling policy) for myself only and I pay 3.35 a week.

Wow, would be interested to see if you could actually get it for 23.47 a year! As you can see the 3.35
I mentioned is specified. I'm inclined to think that they've FU'd and the 23.47 is a monthly cost.
But even so 3.35 x 52 is 174.20 and 23.47 x 12 is 281.64 so there's a difference there too of over
100 quid! Mysterious indeed!

The "Annual" policy is from April 2022 to March 2023.

And if you signed up now, the policy would start on the 1st Feb, so their "annual" policy is only covering 1st Feb to 7 weeks after.

It still doesn't work out exactly right, I think maybe they're only counting each Monday or something.

In the small print it says you can only cancel during the 'renewal period", which is March, so if you don't cancel in March you've gotta stick with them till the following March (exceptions are made for "serious life events".
