Re: Desperation
Some say desperation, some may see it as an opportunity.
Depending on your circumstances.
We were asked if we wanted to turn up at 8:30 this morning to help out, indoors or outdoors.

Yep. Just seen one of my ex colleagues in the supermarket this morning in her uniform. She's standing on the picket line but being the breadwinner, she's doing her best to provide a Xmas for her family.

Re: Desperation
Manager was asking us all yesterday if we wanted to work Sunday, he got a flat no from everyone, aren’t we supposed to be fighting against working Sundays, why would anyone agree to do it.

Re: Desperation
I thought we were fighting against obligatory Sunday working.chickenwittle wrote: ↑18 Dec 2022, 12:45.... aren’t we supposed to be fighting against working Sundays, why would anyone agree to do it.
Plenty of people choose to work on Sunday - CSP, parcels etc.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: Desperation
Our office was closed today as usual, CSP doesn't open on a Sunday!

Re: Desperation
If there's lots of posties that worked this Sunday, that's kinda making a nice case for RM to bring in Sunday working

On a voluntary basis that's fine as today has been plus enhanced payment.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑18 Dec 2022, 21:11If there's lots of posties that worked this Sunday, that's kinda making a nice case for RM to bring in Sunday working
I don't agree with people going in though tbh in the current circumstances.
