Booking leave on the People app
Anyone know roughly how long it takes for a couple of extra days leave to be granted when applying on the People App? I asked for a couple of extra days (within my allowance) for the end of Feb next year, 24hours ago, and it still just says “sent”. Can anyone help? Thanks

I think the request is sent to your manager to look at so that may help as to the reason why nothing has changed.

Have you used the app to book annual leave previously? If not thell they probably dont use the app yet. My DO still requests annual leave to be filled out on paper so I've never used the app.

Managers seem to prefer not to bother with the app, despite it being announced nationally as this super new way to book leave.
LOL.
LOL.

Takes ages, might be best to tell your manager about the days but no guarantee he'll get round to putting the dates in the diary between trips to the Greggs.

My request went through in hours even though the app showed 'error'

As always, depends on your manager. Mine got granted within 2 days. Much less stressful than going cap in hand to the 'god' in your office who says yay or nay to you going on holiday.

Why... Why would you have to use an ap to ask your manager.
Why ?
Ask your manager in person. I know, I know.

Re: Booking leave on the People app
I've used the app for annual leave twice now and its hassle free. And it's done same day if the manager ain't busy. When you apply on the app it will say what manager it is being sent to. Any probs just go direct to said person to chase up the delay as it is sent instantly to their laptop.

It is better too ask your manager he/she can explain why and you can counter ask them why. Rather than a denied response on app not saying your leave is valued any less but that is why they plan leave allocations for!
