It used to be 3 years. I can remember years ago a boy from our division left and thought he could get something easier and when he realised how easy he got it he tried to get back but was told he couldn't for 3 years

I'd top myself if I ever had the good fortune to get another job away from the Royal Mail shitshow, only to find that the Royal Mail shitshow was actually the best thing there is out there.

It isn't the "best thing" out there but it's also very far from the worst.
The amount who've tried (or succeeded) in returning over the years proves that.

Ah that makes perfect sense.
The answer is get back in but on Delivery instead... I can guarantee within a month you'll be handing your notice in again with absolutely no chance of changing your mind for a second time.
