Are other companies delivering our parcels?

Post by redneck »

A Yodel guy told me today that they have been delivering RM parcels for a while in our area. Is this a wind up, or true?

As a teenager of the 70's, if so, I see why secondary picketing took place

You mean something that has been postage paid to RM, then subbed out to companies that do it for 50p an item?

Does not make a bit off difference as all other companies when under pressure near Christmas need royalmail to pull them out

If RM really are losing £25m each strike day I assume that amount of business must be passed to our rivals to deliver?

Yes, that's true! Not only Evri but also DPD are delivering the Royal Mail parcels. I received my mobile phone via DPD instead of Royal Mail because of the strike. If there's no agreement soon, these companies will also be delivering the post, and sadly there's not much the union can do about it legally.

Well we could hold them to the redundancy terms they had for the last 20 years as a class action or any other change just because you are piss poor at managing anything, like test and trace does not make you the arbiter of terms and conditions does it while paying yourself a big fat bonus is this objective or obtuse?

They will not be delivering letters, no other company will touch them.

Yes, it’s very true. I had a Royal Mail tracked item delivered at 6pm on Thursday last week and the email I received as proof of delivery was from DPD.

With letters I imagine the likes of Evri, DPD would be willing to deliver them but they’ll treat them as parcels, £4.95 not £0.95.

But regardless according to most people I speak to we only deliver rubbish so they won’t miss it if we cease to be :wave
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.
