Simon's hit man on his way.....

Post by luddite »

.....to our DO this Tuesday or Wednesday. Our manager has said his message to us will be that we are striking for no reason as the CWU have got it wrong! No later starts, no Sunday unless new starter, all agreements stand, no annualised hours etc
Anybody out there had the briefing? How did you respond? Argue? Walk away? Silence?

RM have already sent us all the changes they want to make in a letter to our doors
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

Ask him to explain that letter then. Give him a hard time by being so polite and don’t let him avoid answering. See what he can come up with

I would simply respond by saying

"Fantastic news. So you'll confirm that we are going to be getting an inflation matching pay rise with no changes to terms and conditions then?"

Manager has said that Thomson has got the CWU all worked up and for us to ignore it all as locally nothing will change and get back to work. I really hope my colleagues don't fall for this!! :thumbdown

Hours different with longs and short, so I said someone is lying then who is it? He then went quietly away just saying don’t believe everything the union says!’

Are they forgetting the small matter that RM have already told us the changes they want to bring in?!
