Can your final week be your rotation?

I'm on Wallington weeks, I want to hand my notice in but just wonder if the week off we build up is allowed to be one of my 4 weeks notice.

Can't see why not, you are still employed that week it's just that it happens to be all your days off, you've already in effect worked your previous 5 days off for free to build up enough for the week off, if you handed your notice in when your last weeks day off is Saturday, you'd only attend Monday to Friday.

That's what I thought but they are saying now. But I cannot see a reason why at all. Bizarre

The only way you'd be able to take your rotation week as your notice is if you wait until you've accrued the required days. But seriously, if you have an escape route just take it!

As said above. I would give in the notice the Saturday before your rotation week off. Ideally after returning from delivery.

I'm sure I saw a thread about this a while ago. I don't think you accumulate days like that. When the rotation started with six people, one of them must have had the first week off, therefore they'll accumulate days after their week off. I think it'll depend where you are in the rotation.
