Workplace and you guys posting on it

Post by POSTMAN »

Yes, it's 'by' Facebook, but it's 'NOT' Facebook

Do me a favour, and try not to be offended, but f**k off somewhere else to post your personal s**t.
My job is to go through 'your' s**t to find the other s**t so I can post said s**t up on here for those who are not on that s**t.
It's taking me ages to do this s**t and it's s**t-ting me off.

And if I find you're one of the ones cosying up to Si with the 'oh it's good the CEO has a sense of humour' s**t then you'll be in the s**t.

Now f**k off, ya s**t.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

But remember it's flex-annualised-time now so there definitely will be a debit at the bank...

Me and my shared van partner cut off every day last week, and up to today have done the same this week. It doesn't take a scientist to work out it costs them more to get someone else to complete the cut off. (some days it was left in the frame thought for the next day)

I think Si needs to work on motivation

I joined, lurked and it is obvious it is home for senior management seeking a positive outlook at RM, and as such it is full of bullsh*t corporate speak and the latest corporate jargon.

Its aim, which it fails miserably at, is to make everyone feel included and mask the ineptness of senior management to actually grasp the real life situations faced by OPG's and DO's on a daily basis.

Simon uses it to browbeat the minions, because he wants changes, but ignores all the changes that went on during the pandemic and the revisions, and management failures to resource at a peak period, that OPG's had to deal with . No he wants to squeeze more out of it and for the lowest costs.

Workplace is just a home for sycophants, who get their messages answered promptly, where as messages asking awkward questions are ignored or paid lip service, and they get raised continually with no suitable response.

Just a corporate back patting outlet
Everything will be OK in the end, If it's not OK, then its not the end.

If u say anything that doesn’t fit the company propaganda on there u are in the managers office the next morning for a dressing down. They literally must have someone who’s job it is to search the staff structure and email your manager saying u have stepped out of line. It’s a no thanks from me.

Its aim when it comes to us is purely to compete with the CWU's social media presence and get Royal Mail's narrative of whatever the spin of the day is, out there

I was on it. To keep an eye on everything paytalks wise. But as soon as the 2% rise came through, I was off. This is going to get messy.

The amount of people on there who are questioning whether we need a payrise, or the best one yet "if inflation goes down, will we offer it back" is horrifying

Shame on Royal Mail. I was proud to get this job nearly 5 years ago. But I'm horrified at what may lie ahead

It is funny that most my important communications from Royal Mail come from Workplace. Managers rarely hold huddles / WTLL anymore, but i find it good to keep up to date with some things.

I do always congratulate Simon though as he does have a hard job polishing turds all day, so credit where credit is due :left:

Ok...who is it!
Simon Says

Team - I have been asked a lot, if it is possible - to work in an alternative unit on industrial action days - the answer is yes - please speak to your COM - they will arrange it for you.
This will be included in a WTLL session - next week….

Team - I have been asked a lot about picket lines - here are the BEIS guidelines - points 12 to 16 & 29 to 35 are worth reading.
**IMPORTANT** - whether you are on the picket line are not - can we all please remember everyone is part of our team - you will all be working together again soon.
People have the right to lawfully strike, lawfully picket & also come to work if they wish.
I have already received a number of notes from members of the team, suggesting they are being harassed to strike - this is not acceptable - if anything makes you feel uncomfortable - please let your manager know.
