Sick leave

Post by weara »

Hi everyone
This week I am on my annual leave and today I had I surgery in a hospital and they gave me 2 weeks sick note.
That means that my holiday week stops today and starts my sick leave?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Correct. You can’t be on the sick and on leave at the same time. Some managers try and wing it by saying your sick will start after your leave but don’t fall for it.

It's not an automatic thing.
The choice is yours to make but you have to make an active choice by contacting management and telling them you want it to be classed as sick absence.
