Transfer

hi some advice needed , been a postie 3yrs & would like to transfer to a more local office to me is it true what my manager says that I will have to wait as there are 3 people already put in transfer requests before me ? so I won't be able to go till they have . I have seen on this chat forum that the advice is just to pop to the place u would like to go and have a chat to the manager ?

Yes I would go and chat to the manager at the other office as yours is sounding obstructive. If he has a vacancy and would be happy to accept you then your manager will have to release you although they can be a pain and delay it saying they need to replace you but if you can get on well with the other DOM then he can push to get you there

thanks I did go & see them and they told me what dom said was crap hadn't got anything at mo but seemed keen when something does ,left my details & have filled in transfer form so just a waiting game .
