Door 2 Door payments

Post by Spedley »

Just a few of quick questions.
  1. When were D2Ds introduced
  2. How much were you payed for them
It seems to me that our payments for D2Ds are not linked to inflation and from vague answers after asking people in my office I think 1.67p each should now be more like 3p each.[/list]

They were 1p per item in 1980 and as they were voluntary, most of us didn't think they were worth the effort for one lousy pence.

EDITED:

According to this website http://inflation.findless.co.uk/

£1 in 1980 would be £2.96 in 2006

or, 1p in 1980 would be 3p now - 80% more than we get !

And still not worth the bother. No wonder they're compulsory these days.

we get councel magazines at the end of each month and in the last 6 months the price has dropped from 4.00p per item to 2.7p..apparently this is because the weight has dropped on them but the last 2 months the weight went back up and guess what?still 2.7p on each item.

Your members should decide en masse not to handle them until you receive the correct payment.
