how do offices implement cut offs
one day our lm tells us to stream mailsort under uso if not enough people to work otime
next day leave what u cant manage cos he knows his p-time/casual staff will pick up work
ther sometimes out to 4-5 pm delivering this.
during threats to cut off sorry work to time constantly reminded bout prep rates.
if your late they want to know what kept you saying put down conveying as reason for
o-time. covering facts bout size of duty or mail volumes.
if you mention working to your time the lm pissesoff till ur tied up then puts pressure on.
nb.remember p-time / casual duties have all been preped up for them giving them time
to take extra work out. s**t there 1st out office were still boxing our roads.
how can we stop this as it makes cut offs seem a waste off time

what we do in our office mon to fri we either cut off at 1240pm (40 mins meal relief) if we work over that time we claim overtime, or we leave the mail in the frame of what we cant deliver by that time, but must tell DOM. On sat we dont sort any mailsort flats, we will either cut off at 1110am or leave mail in frame and tell DOM. We all did this on the saturday after the first strike, every signal person either left mail in the frame or brought it back. I hope this helps a little

They have never tried to seek an agreement cause they know some are faster than others, and you could also say my prep rate is X so I will not prep any quicker.
