If it's a line manager, ask one of the other regulars saying the stand-in is no good. If it's a DUM, ignore him/her.

Isn't it amazing how they never get rid of incompetent 'managers'? All they ever seem to do it move them about from office to office. We've got a screw who got the job of DUM in our office a few months ago. Completely useless and was found out when the screw he hid behind got the DUM's job at a nearby office. In no time our DUM asked to be moved back to screw and the DUM who had left came back in charge of our office. Another used to log into the computer and switch overtime off nights about giving his mates the easy duties. They had to change the computer password, but nothing happened to him when he was found out. Another DUM was moved here for bullying in his office and while here was sent on a course for giving a postwoman from another office abuse over the telephone. He's since been promoted. We had another acting screw who gave a postman a two year warning for leaving a packet on a step. While he was back driving, he did the same thing himself, but his screw mates covered up for him. He's now a full-time screw. He's been moved about so much they should make him Minister of Transport. Another absolute turd gave a postwoman a 1st Stage for having two weeks off to have a breast lump removed. He casused so much crap, he was moved to a smaller office where he got the DUM's job. He was moved from there after several complaints and went to his original office. He was moved again and was last heard of somewhere in Liverpool. Another one was going to take a postwoman down the CC because she left mail. So did about ten others, but they weren't lesbians so he wasn't going to victimise them. One horrible, slimy piece of crap. He's retired now, but even the other screws hated him.
Apart from the first boss I ever had back in 1980, I haven't met a single manager who would be managing at any other place I've worked. They've all got on by brown nosing.

A Nagant M1895 revolver - all the reliabilty of a revolver, while uniquely ( amongst revolvers ) can utilise a suppressor, 7.62 x 38 R (7.62mm Nagant) calibre ( Ak47s and their derivitives are also 7.62, but the length of the cartridge is greater ), so you could drop a charging bull elephant if needed. Seven rounds in the cylinder and at 10.5 inches in length, it is a considerable cure short of a Kalashnikov :Very Happy

BTW, there is one very important thing you must do - aim for your screw's arse, that way there is potential of hitting his microscopic brain....aim for the head & all you'll find is empty space between the ears.

Our lino's been moved because of a few cockups.
He's gone to a right yukkie office in se lon.
He broke down and cried when he was alone with another manager

He's been fiddling the cut off figures, saying theres none when half the time half the office has cut of!!
Word is the DUM's next as he's one lazy c*** and fiddles that kinda stuff as well.

Interesting point though about the lino.
Was complaining to us about it,said he nearly hit the DSM,and how upset he was.
He found out on thursday, and on strike day was acting the arse when we were handing out our leaflets to the public,
called the DSM and grassed us up

RM through and through even when they s**t on him  :d'oh! what a tosser!!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
