Mr Prime Minister
I plead with you to consider this message (and pray to God someone passes this to you).
ROYAL MAIL
I am, along with 1000's of other postal workers, standing together to say to Royal Mail "NO". We are not happy with the offered pay rise - effectively a 2.3% pay cut. We are not happy with the 'strings'. Nor the business plan.
I listened to one of your Ministers recently saying negative things about the highest management of Royal Mail.
Royal Mail is effectively owned by the Government.
The people of the UK elect their MP's.
Being an elected official an MP will work for their constituency.
When an MP is 'promoted' they can potentially become Prime Minister.
We live in a democratic society. We elect our MP's. The Government has been elected to serve us - the people invest their trust in someone they believe in.
Everyone buys in to the naming of a Prime Minister. Me, you and everyone we all know are responsible for the current 'establishment'.
Government governs. Elected by us. Accountable to us.
I am really not sure why this dispute has gone on for so long. Nor am I sure that Mssrs Leighton and Crozier do not have a secret agenda.
Let's be clear - I can see but one reason why RM would want to conceal the profits of the business (not happened before). I think it is because when the profits are released all of RM employees and the public will realise that Mssrs Leighton & Crozier have LIED.
I personally do not believe that RM is interested too much about Jo and Josephine Bloggs. Seems that everything is focused on business customers.
I have worked for the Ministry of Defence, NHS, BT , various charities & now for (only two and half years) Royal Mail.
Mr Prime Minister
I am ashamed to work for Royal Mail.
I really cannot believe that Mssrs Leighton & Crozier are seeemingly free to get away with anything the want to do.
I do not understand the logic of them or your Office.
Despite the fact you have many things to deal with I hoped you would be able to give the Royal Mail v CWU National Dispute more of your attention.
Mr Brown, your Government was elected. Your Government is accountable to the country.
Please do the right thing. The right thing for us all.
GOOD LUCK TO US ALL AND HAVE FAITH

Dear Gordon Brown (Part 3)
It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.

Guys
Just wanted to let you know that I still have not received a reply to my email to the Prime Ministers Office. I posted the first 'Dear Gordon Brown' letter on here and was encouraged to send to PM.
In order to send the letter that I first posted on here I had to give personal details (which I was not comfy about) otherwise the email would not have been accepted by the PM's office.
I am really quite sad that I have not received a response - I was sent an email to say that it had arrived in the PM's Office.
Those of you who have read my former posts will know that I have always been positive that 'someone' would intervene. I am sad that I seem to have been wrong. I didn't think OUR Government would allow the 1st strike day. When that came and went I believed that the Government would then appreciate the impact on the country and so was confident that the 2nd date would be, even at the 11th hour, cancelled.
Just returned from picket line for MDEC early shift and will be back at lunchtime for the late shift. So obviously I was wrong about it being called off. SO unhappy that RM will not even agree to talk meaningfully with the CWU.
I am forcing myself to remain positive and cling on to my idea that someone will TELL Mssrs Leighton & Crozier what to do.
I am sure I will not be alone when I say my respect for my employer is evaporating FAST.
GOOD LUCK TO US ALL AND HAVE FAITH
