WHAT IS ROYAL MAIL & CWU POLICY USING CYCLES ON DELIVERY? IS IT NECESSARY TO WEAR CYCLE HELMET, REFLECTIVE JACKET, ALSO MAX WEIGHT/QUANTITY OF POUCHES CARRIED AT ONE TIME, ETC. VARIOUS OPINIONS AT MY DELIVERY OFFICE, BUT NO ACTUAL RULING, REGULARLY SEE DELIVERY OFFICERS WOBBLE OUT OF THE OFFICE WITH VERY LARGE, HEAVY POUCH ON CYCLE PLUS ANOTHER CARRIED OVER SHOULDER, TOLD ITS TO AVOID WAITING FOR SECOND POUCH OR INSUFFICIENT POUCH BOXES ON WALK, MANAGERS DON'T SEEM TO MIND SO I ASSUME THIS PRACTICE IS OK?

There was something about the bike thing a while back,either in the Courier or the Voice about the h&s of bikes.
Seems nothings been learnt.
But 'fool' if you go out without the proper bits,one accident and you'll be done.
